After a recent series of accidents along Galleywood Road, City Councillors for Goat Hall, Hazel Clark and Linda Mascot, have been speaking to local residents on the doorstep who are concerned about increasing numbers of vehicles speeding along the road. This makes it difficult to cross the road safely and could cause accidents. With increasing numbers of speeding cars, local people are calling for help in reducing the speed limit from 40mph to 30mph.  Your City Councillors have joined with County Councillor Jude Deakin to call on Essex County Council to review the speed limit on a section of  Galleywood Road (the section of the B1007 between Wood Street and Stock Road) as a high priority and reduce it  to 30mph.
