Join our campaign for safer roads

For over 30 years, residents have called for a zebra crossing on Linnet Drive, near the junction with Plane Tree Close, to protect the many children and families who walk to Mildmay Primary School. Recently, a child was involved in a collision with a car - an incident that highlights the urgent need for proper safety measures. Linnet Drive is a densely residential area with significant parking issues that obstruct visibility for both drivers and pedestrians. Every day, a high volume of children and parents navigate this dangerous stretch, yet previous calls for action have been ignored by Essex County Council.

After this latest incident, local councillor Hazel Clark is determined to make Essex County Council listen to residents.  She recently took other local councillors and Chelmsford MP Marie Goldman to see the extent of the problem. Will you join her campaign to demand that Essex County Council make road safety in this area a priority?

We need a crossing on Linnet Drive

We demand that Essex County Council prioritise the safety of our children and install appropriate road safety measures, such as a zebra crossing, to prevent further accidents.
