Apprenticeships - earn as you lear

Our area’s business parks and industrial estates contribute to the local economy, but did you know that they can give back in other ways too? In celebration of National Apprenticeship week (5th-11th February) Steve and Rose were welcomed to the Head Office of Woodland Group - a global logistic, freight forwarding and supply chain specialist. It was a privilege to meet apprentices at different stages of their career pathway who all felt valued in their roles, from Management and Leadership to HR and Sustainability.

We need an inclusive economy with broad access to training and skills. Woodland’s approach resonates with the Liberal Democrats’ plan for a new Industrial Strategy to get our economy growing strongly again and tackle the cost-of-living crisis.
