Doing the elbow work for safety in Lawn Lane

Back in May last year, a resident came to us after their child had been hit by a vehicle on Lawn Lane, partly due to bushes not having been cut back. This was immediately raised with the Conservative-led Essex County Council as a request to cut it back as soon as possible – the sight line to cross the road was clearly being impeded, causing a danger to pedestrians.

Over 6 months later a response came from the County Council: “ Our recent investigation of this issue has concluded that it is not as serious as many other issues we are aware of, so we won't be taking any further action on it.”

A disgraceful response and delay from the County Council, so, what did your local Lib Dem City Councillors do? We went and cut it ourselves!
