No 47 Bus - Residents’ Concerns over unreliable service raised

Residents who use the No 47 bus have complained to Cllr Mike Mackrory about the unreliability of this service. The bus can be late arriving or doesn't come at all. As the bus is now subsidised by Essex County Council, Mike met the Director responsible at County Hall.

The Director will take up his concerns with First Bus who we know are having difficulty recruiting and retaining drivers because of the higher pay for doing the same job in London. He also asked that timetables be displayed at stops which don't have them.
