The future of Maldon's High Street and Communal Facilities
Over the last year we've been actively speaking to our community and we've identified two themes which keep cropping up: Maldon's High Street and lack of community facilities.

The High Street
It's been well publicised that High Streets throughout the county are under threat. They face the twin problems of online shopping and the pandemic. Like elsewhere, Maldon has a large number of shops that have closed and are for sale. Colin will campaign for improvements so that the High Street can become a destination: somewhere that people will want to spend time and money in. Colin has been talking to business owners and residents alike about securing the High Street's future and the best way to do this.
More Community Facilities
Maldon was already woefully short of community facilities, even before all the new housebuilding started. Colin is extremely active in the local community and will continue to campaign for the acquisition of new facilities, such as the ex Tai Chi Centre in London Road. He is already working hard on finding solutions to the much longed-for desire for a cinema and an arts centre to continue to develop Maldon's cultural appeal.
With May's local elections just around the corner, it's vital that we select a candidate for our town who has our best interests and wants to see our town prosper and thrive and who will work tirelessly to fulfill that. Vote Colin Baldy and Liberal Democrat on the 6th May.
