Mary at a polling station

July 4th is Polling Day!

Elections can be won or lost on polling day.  As Ed Davey is rather fond of telling people, he first won his seat in 1997 by only 56 votes, and only because he had a great team working hard all day.

We need a great team on polling day to get Marie Goldman elected. We need hundreds of people knocking on doors reminding people to vote. We need people prepared to get up really early so we can deliver a leaflet to every door before 8am.

We also need 280 people who are prepared to sit at a polling station for a couple of hours and do telling. This involves smiling at voters who arrive and asking if we can have their polling number or address, so that we don't send people to knock on the doors of those who have already voted. You don't have to be politcial or have any experience - in fact you aren't allowed to be political or even to ask anyone if they will be voting for Marie. It's a really easy, but incredibly important, way to play your part in electing Chelmsford's first ever Lib Dem MP.

Help us on Polling Day!

If you can be one of our team of 280 smiling people at a polling station sometime between 7am and 9pm on July 4th, or can help to deliver leaflets on the Wednesday evening or early on the Thursday morning, or can help by knocking on doors, please fill in this form and we'll be in touch.
